Our internal marketing group wanted a creative way to conduct a project tour that would allow participants to engage and learn detailed facts about construction. Most tours are guided by people, especially in large groups. We wanted this tour to be different, something more than just a moderator talking. This led us to an interactive content marketing solution. Once we decided on using a smart-phone centric website, we knew we would have to engage the audience throughout the tour, so we added the quiz portion to motivate attendees. At the end of the tour, the people with the highest score would receive a prize. We also wanted to take our participants through the site as if they were present during construction. The attendees went through the site seeing and understanding the complexity of the project through progress photos, coupled with the information provided by the tour guide. The method of tour can be duplicated for future clients, partners and employees to allow them to travel the duration of the project through details and photos that enable them to understand the complexity of such a large and complicated project such as Denver Union Station. This is an innovative new way to give a project tour and it will become a pivotal new tool in our project portfolio.
