Welcome to the 2017 SMPS Marketing Communications Awards Program

The SMPS Marketing Communications Awards Program is the longest-standing, most prestigious awards competition that recognizes excellence in marketing communications produced by professional services firms in the design and building industry. The program provides an unparalleled opportunity for professionals to showcase their best marketing practices and to educate the industry about the critical role of marketing in a successful firm.

This competition is open to SMPS members and nonmembers employed in US and international professional services firms. Marketing communication projects completed between January 2015 and December 2016 will be accepted for the 2017 competition.

Please note, this is not an online judging competition. This program will continue to conduct a live, in person judging competition as it has for the last 40 years.
 

All entries must be mailed to SMPS Headquarters in Alexandria, VA. Entries postmarked by March 27th for early-discount fees. All other entries must be delivered to SMPS Headquarters by April 3rd (final entry fees applies) to qualify. All entries will be judged in May at the annual MCA Judging Day event by a panel of jurors. This is not an online competition. All finalists will be recognized at  Build Business, the Society's annual conference. Winning entries will be on display throughout the conference, July 12-14.

BEFORE YOU START

Instructions:

1.    Review categories and submittal Requirements
2.    Prepare your entry (review questions that will be required, include items as instructed in submittal requirements)
3.    Register your entry online here or link below (prior to mailing folder to SMPS Headquarters)
4.    Print out your complete entry form and receipt
5.    Insert entry form and payment receipt in folder. One folder per entry.  If paying by check include invoice and check inside front pocket of folder
6.    Mail entry folder and entries (one folder per entry, but you may mail mulitples together in same package) to SMPS Headquarters; postmark by 3/27 for early-bird rates or deliver by 4/3 (Even if form is completed by deadline, entry date will be determined when entry is received at SMPS Headquarters).

To enter into the MCA Awards Program, click here. You will automatically establish an account when you create a basic profile. You may save your work and return to this site as often as needed as long as you complete and submit all parts of the entry submission by April 3 (by March 27 for early discount fee rate). You can edit your submission once you have placed it in the cart at any time by clicking the button "make changes" on the cart page.

How to Enter Multiple Entries
Once an application is completed for a particular entry and in the shopping cart, that entry submission may then be copied for submission to another category by duplicating the entry form, but you will need to update all the entry information on page 2 and 3. Example: You submit a project to the Advertising category. If you then wish to submit another project to the Video category, you would return to the submission portal, log in to your account, select your previously submitted entry, copy it, and then enter the name of the new video entry, select video category and update all the information requested on pages 2 and 3 of entry form.

To receive the multiple entry discount you must have all entries completed and in cart at time of payment. If you have already submitted an entry and paid, you will be charged full entry fee for any additional entries submitted.
