The early discount deadline is March 1, 2021, and the final deadline for entries is March 22, 2021.

Marketing communication projects completed between January 2019 and January 2021 will be accepted for the 2021 competition.

NEW for 2021!

  • NEW Category Added! Crisis Management and Communications
    Limited to one complimentary entry per firm in this specific category. No "additional entry discount" will apply to this entry, only paid entries to qualify for a discount. 
    Entries should provide details of how a one-time crisis or ongoing critical issue was managed. Examples that can be submitted: crisis management and/or communication plans, campaigns, virtual events, videos, and social media messaging created between January 2019 to January 2021. This category also includes any event or issue that has had (or may have) an extraordinary impact on your firm's way of business and culture. The messaging can be external or internal. The entry must be in digital format. Supporting pdf documents such as a communications plan may be included.
  • Holiday and Special Entries Criteria Change
    If entering a holiday or special event entry, it must be entered in those specific categories only. We will not accept entries created for those types of events in other categories this year. For example, if submitting a Christmas holiday video it would be entered into the Holiday-digital only category. It can no longer be entered in the Video-external or internal categories.

The SMPS Marketing Communications Awards Program is the longest-standing, most prestigious awards competition that recognizes excellence in marketing communications produced by professional services firms in the design and building industries. The program provides an unparalleled opportunity for professionals to showcase their best marketing practices and to educate the industry about the critical role of marketing in a successful firm.

This competition is open to SMPS members and nonmembers employed in the US and international professional services firms.
