Barton Malow’s Centennial Anniversary digital campaign leveraged an innovative blend of storytelling mediums, including treasures from a historical archive, in-depth video interviews, a content bank of thoughtfully curated stores, and highly engaging social media campaigns. The year-long campaign brought Barton Malow's legacy to life and shaped a bold look toward the future.
Our approach was multi-phased: digitizing rare historical assets, creating a robust content bank with narratives about Barton Malow’s people, projects, and impact, and launching interactive social media campaigns like “Name That Project” and “From the Archive.” Dozens of team members from all levels of the company were interviewed for the Centennial Video Series, which featured topics like our Detroit roots, our work in the communities we serve, innovation, and the enduring values that define Barton Malow.
Each touchpoint was crafted to reach both internal and external audiences—past and present team members, industry partners, and the broader public—unifying them around the same message: Barton Malow’s story is one of legacy, resilience, and forward momentum.
This digital-first, content-driven strategy not only preserved our rich history but solidified Barton Malow’s reputation as a leader poised to build the next century.
