JVA, Inc. is a Colorado legacy consulting engineering firm with a 62-year history of providing its clients with the highest quality service in structural, civil, and environmental engineering. For over eleven years, JVA has created a special themed holiday beer package for their client appreciation gifts. Working with a local brewery, JVA creates a 6-pack consisting of five beers, a glass, and other promotional items. JVA has won an SMPS MEA thrice for past pieces, but this latest effort is the best yet!

The theme was “Five Office Holiday Tour” and used JVA’s five Colorado offices as the subject. Working with Gunbarrel brewery, Finkel & Garf Craft Beer, five different beers were selected to create “Flatiron Amber Ale” for Boulder, “Poudre Berry Wheat” for Fort Collins, “Powder Day IPA” for Winter Park, “Soak It Up Stout” for Glenwood Springs, and “Mile High Larimer Lager” for Denver. JVA’s graphic design consultant created a red truck emblem and picked photos matching each city. A custom carrier was designed and printed, as well as a custom designed “can-shaped” pint glass showcasing the theme. To finalize the gift, a holiday note pad was designed, printed and placed in the glass with paper fill. 

The process of the holiday piece starts with creating a theme. Research was done on packaging options and beer choices. Once complete, JVA’s principals and project managers hand delivered over 475 pieces to existing clients throughout the state. The results were some very impressed clients toasting JVA with tasty beverages!
