Creative Brief
McKim & Creed's Leadership Team prioritizes frequent communication with employees to provide knowledge and insight into company operations. However, finding creative, engaging ways to connect all employees presents a challenge, with 26 offices in seven states. While the firm offers weekly updates in a printable format, McKim & Creed's MarCom team also produces a monthly pre-recorded Leadership Team Update video hosted by a different Leadership Team member each month. The Leadership Team Update is a 10–15-minute video that allows each Leadership Team member an opportunity to speak to the entire firm.
Through this video all employees have the opportunity to learn company news, project updates, celebrations, benefits information and even challenges from across the firm’s footprint. Each month we include additional digital elements like project highlights and news from other employees. As an employee-owned firm, it’s important to find ways for our leadership to connect to all employees and keep everyone informed, as everyone has a stake in ownership. With half of our employees working in the field, some on a hybrid schedule, and those in our physical office locations, everyone can easily access the video in their own time. An employee in our accounting department commented that these updates “get my adrenaline going, when I can see with my own eyes the projects we work on.”
In the summer, we provide our summer interns with an opportunity to be involved in the production process providing them an additional platform to engage with our Leadership Team.
