Creative Brief
Our Valentine's Day tradition includes sending custom cards and chocolate to our top clients. Recently, in addition to the custom cards and chocolate, we added a digital component to further build our brand with newer and prospective clients. We started the campaign to reinforce our brand of not being a typical engineering firm – and year over year, we have seen great feedback and the benefits of brand awareness.
In 2017, we created hand-drawn, engineering superheroes and villains. This was very well-received, so in 2023, we revisited the idea with a focus on technology-themed characters to reinforce that we are a technology-driven firm. Our hand-drawn, custom characters included the AI Advisor, Battery Breaker, Data Designer, Safety Scanner, Smart Building Bandit, Solar Surveyor, and VR Visionary, each with clever descriptions tying into the industry.
The campaign's success comes from:
- Using a strategic, mixed media approach to ensure our card got in front of our target audience.
- Fostering an emotional connection with our clients to build a stronger connection to our quality brand and trust.
- Creating a thoughtful opportunity to connect or reconnect with our clients to keep WB at the top of their minds and build brand loyalty.
- Reflecting our brand's personality by creating a fun, cohesive campaign that reinforced who we are and what we do and left a memorable impression.
- Changing the narrative of what is expected from the typical engineer and showing how we are different.
