Creative Brief
The RO Workbook Brochure project involved creating these deliverables for an elementary school career fair day. We knew we would be speaking with children from Pre-K to Fifth grade, and wanted to make sure we brought materials that were visually engaging and interactive for all age groups. We tailored the brochures for two age groups: 4-7, and 8-10. The project aimed to inspire and educate children about the construction industry, challenging stereotypes and expanding their career horizons.
The primary aim was to spark enthusiasm for construction careers among students. Interactions with students using these brochure materials resulted in increased involvement in career education for local youth and invitations to other construction education program events within SAISD. The project also enhanced brand recognition and solidified RO's reputation as a community-involved entity in San Antonio.
The brochure featured colorful illustrations, thoughtful activities and simplified language for younger children, introducing basic construction concepts and industry careers. For older students, deeper insights into specific roles and career pathways were provided.
Ultimately, our project's success extends beyond brochure distribution. It lies in the lasting impact on students' perceptions and aspirations, nurturing an appreciation for construction careers from an early age and fostering a sense of community involvement and care.
Our workbook brochure project represents a pioneering effort to reshape how children perceive the construction industry. It aims to inspire the next generation of builders and innovators through engaging content and tailored presentations while enhancing community engagement and brand reputation.
