Creative Brief
The creation of five videos centered around our core values—be safe, be honest, commit to quality, adapt, and invest in people—stems from a rich history deeply ingrained in Kitchell's ethos. While founded in 1950, it wasn't until the early 1990s that we formally established our core values, initially as elaborative concepts expanding upon Sam Kitchell's visionary foundation. Over time, these principles have evolved into the succinct, action-oriented statements guiding us today.
Initiated in 2023, our Pathway to Excellence program aims to bolster knowledge within CEM, not only in technical aspects but also in fostering business excellence. Throughout this program, our core values served as pillars, woven into every training session. Recognizing the importance of grounding our work in these foundational values, we embarked on creating a video series to illustrate their application in our daily endeavors.
These videos offer a glimpse into the lives of our peers in CEM, showcasing how they embody our values both on and off the jobsite. Each installment delves into a core value, unraveling its significance within our business fabric.
As we commence with our first value, Be Safe, it's noteworthy that safety wasn't formally integrated into our values until 2013. However, safety has always been more than a statement—it's a fundamental process deeply embedded within Kitchell's operations.
Through this video series, we aim to celebrate what makes our business and our people truly exceptional. It's in embracing our values that we fortify our identity and propel ourselves toward continued success.
