Creative Brief
To increase awareness of RS&H and our content marketing efforts, RS&H created a branded podcast, AEC Perspectives. Through research, we found that podcasts were gaining popularity in the US, with monthly listenership rising from 26% of the US population in 2018 to 38% in 2022. While larger firms and industry organizations had podcasts that discussed projects and very technical aspects of the AEC industry, we noticed a gap in the market; no one was discussing additional industry topics such as diversity, equity, & inclusion, mental health, or career pathing. AEC Perspectives aimed to fill this gap in the market by having conversations with industry thought leaders who could share their perspectives on emerging trends, best practices, and navigating life in the AEC industry.
Season one of AEC Perspectives included 10 engaging episodes. Topics ranged from technical matters like airport resiliency and sustainability to issues that impact the lives of those in the industry, such as leadership skills for AEC professionals. Guests included industry thought leaders, clients, and college professors. Each episode focused on authentic storytelling that helped each topic resonate with our target audience. We shared AEC Perspectives episodes with our email list of 1,635 subscribers and on our social media channels and internal intranet.
RS&H's winning podcast strategy exceeded our goals by engaging 34% of our subscribed target audience and having 70% of the episodes place in the top 50% of podcasts, increasing brand awareness across more than 500 clients/partners for further nurturing and engagement strategies.
