Creative Brief

Trauma-Informed Design gets mentioned a lot in our field, but too often it ends up meaning little more than soft materials, muted colors, and gentle phrasing. We felt the concept deserved a lot more depth and intention.

We created a clearer, more practical way to approach it. It is one built on three parts: a strategic framework, a project checklist you can use, and a mindset that shapes every design choice from start to finish. Instead of treating TID as an aesthetic style, we wove it into our process, our programming, and even our documentation in ways that can be measured and applied.

Through a series of focused social posts and longer-form website articles, we shared our methodology, pushed back against the oversimplified takes on TID, and showed exactly how it guided the design of a new state-of-the-art facility. We tied the effort to clear metrics, engagement, growth within our Phoenix audience, website traffic, and search visibility. This allowed us to track whether the message was landing.

By pairing thoughtful ideas with a real project, we weren’t just talking about Trauma-Informed Design. We were practicing it and showing what that looks like.

This entry represents more than a thought leadership effort. It marks the formalization of our philosophy, the creation of a framework that supports it, and the proof of how it shows up in the work itself.
