Arup’s Recruitment Marketing, Communications, and Climate and Sustainability teams partnered to deliver a recruitment marketing campaign to garner further interest and attract talent to the firm’s Climate Services and Sustainability (CSSP) job opportunities. Within the United States, Canada, and Colombia, this first-of-its-kind campaign for Arup supported the firms’ overall mission and strategic goals to further sustainability and climate reform, leading to all open 13 roles being filled in a record amount of time. We developed social media posts, a promotional video, staff member testimonials videos, a CSSP landing page with a customized jobs site, and a feedback survey for new hires. The social media posts resulted in over 28,833 potential impressions with 565 clicks to our landing page as well as 1,900 video views and 9,406 employee testimonial video views. Additionally, we capitalized on our attendance at influential industry conferences, including the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28), NY Climate Week, and Greenbuild to increase brand recognition and to network with industry professionals in the environmental engineering space. The campaign resulted in 1,373 applications after ten months and with all roles filled in an average of 70 days, which is almost three weeks faster than typical job requisitions. Overall, it was a successful campaign that has influenced future recruitment efforts, including a forthcoming Global Energy Recuritment Marketing Campaign.
