Creative Brief
In evaluating our existing behavioral health look book, we determined that it was outdated and ineffective at communicating our design expertise. We took this opportunity to craft a new look book that not only represents significant past projects, but also illustrates our understanding of current trends in behavioral health design. We developed a new structure that integrates statistics with specific project examples. Based on extensive research, we created a list of six relevant design principles and selected three projects as case studies to illustrate them. The easily digestible layout and infographics clarify our knowledge and experience in this sector. We see it as a privilege to design for this unique patient group. We are dedicated to continually learning and staying on top of trends in behavioral health, and it is important that our marketing materials reflect that. We expanded the focus of the look book content to include our expectations for the future of the sector, as well as applications in other sectors, such as workplace and education design. Overall, the look book highlights the empathy of our approach in a typically code-driven field. As architects, IKM’s goal is to design environments that reduce behavioral health stigma and recenter the wellness of patients and staff.
