Iron City Brewing Company was founded in 1861 by two gentlemen from the Pittsburgh area. After decades of not having the popular beer beloved by locals, a group banded together to bring the favorite brand back and transformed an old glass factory into a cutting-edge brewery.

McKim & Creed joined a talented team commissioned to rebuild the Iron City Brewery in Pittsburgh, PA during the height of covid. The facility was completed in the fall of 2022. Our engineers poured their hearts and souls into this once-in-a-lifetime project, and we thought what better way to share our pride in a job well done than to invite our clients and partners to tour the new facility and enjoy some tasty Iron City Brew!

The purpose of this event was to showcase our engineers' talents while also spending quality time with our local clients and partners. The event took two months to plan and coordinate. The event featured a popular Oktoberfest musician, a facility tour, a catered dinner, Iron City Beer and other beverages, and a project documentary detailing the beer brand's legacy and the decision to bring this icon back to Pittsburgh. The event resulted in direct work as a result of the Iron City team's endorsement. The project documentary, distributed through various mediums, told the story of this vital facility, bringing the community together and demonstrating our commitment and dedication to our craft.
