The A/E/C marketplace in the Seattle area is highly competitive. Engaging clients creatively to leave a lasting impression is challenging. In our experience, most holiday cards succeed only in sharing friendly holiday sentiments but seldom manage to actually get attention.
With that in mind, our holiday piece this year was created based on the strategy that interactivity—in both physical interaction and online too—would yield a greater impact.
Our physical card featured a snowman outline where our most valuable recipients could apply UMC-themed stickers to build their own mechanical contractor snowman. We encouraged everyone to take photos of their snowmen and share them on social media.
Our digital version was delivered via email to just over 600 recipients, and instead of simply sharing an online image of our card we created an interactive snowman building game, which offered one-click social media sharing.
Among the participants in sharing print and digital version were our top prospects and one of our most important long-time client partners.
