The challenge was to create a holiday card that encompassed the firm’s mission statement and the broad range of business sectors uniquely.

Parkhill’s Mission Statement:

BUILDING COMMUNITY by creating inventive, relevant build environments together.

Issues:

Represent the Mission Statement: Each word has meaning

Represent a diverse project range: Aviation, Environmental, Healthcare, Higher Education, K-12 Education, Municipal, Religious, Site Development, Transportation, Treatment, Water Resources

Represent a diverse range of design professionals: Architects, Construction Managers, Engineers, Interior Designers, Landscape Architects, Surveyors

Represent a new brand: The firm had completed a corporate rebrand a few months earlier

The solution was a printed snow globe kit that encapsulated the words of the Mission Statement:

BUILDING: The globe was printed as three separate pieces to build

COMMUNITY: Each globe piece had illustrations of each of the firm’s projects within the community

BY CREATING: The card included instructions on how to create their own snow globe

INVENTIVE: The pieces fit together to create a snow globe that would stand on its own

RELEVANT: The pieces formed a holiday community scene

BUILT ENVIRONMENTS: The result was a snow globe representing the built environment of a community

TOGETHER: The card instructions were “Join us in Building Community together”

The card included a short introduction of the rebrand along with a bio on the firm’s history. It also included a matching charity gift card to allow recipients to donate to a charity of their choosing.
