In Q4 of 2019- Q2 of 2020, Dattner Architects embarked in the redesign of Dattner.com. Almost a decade since it’s last redesign in 2012, Dattner Architects sought to create a website that better represented the current business, company culture, and future aspirations as a multi-service architecture, planning, and interiors firm.
With a growing staff of over 115 design professionals along with an increasingly diverse regional and typological project portfolio, the firm sought the services of For Office Use Only to help propel the company and employer brand forward and communicate the ethos of our firm’s impact on the NYC built environment.
The creation of a new website reflects current and future organizational needs of the firm, while recognizing the impact of firm legacy in NYC after over 50 years of architectural practice. A bolder graphic direction and editorial approach to presenting/curating work helped to modernize the brand and helps to present the firm as thought leaders in the civic and affordable housing architectural space, while positioning our work to be applicable to communities beyond NYC.
This new, curated approach to storytelling adds depth to the story of Dattner and the communities our projects impact. The elements of the website work together as a “digital monograph” to present essence of the firm brand as well as the unifying themes that tie our diverse portfolio together: essential civic spaces, the urban experience, project delivery among complex municipal agency review processes, and sophisticated design solutions that serve as catalysts for community development.
