Every year since 1955, Hensel Phelps welcomes the new five-year employees into the Oldtimers Club. Our former CEO, Joe Phelps, stated it best with, "It's our people who make the difference." In that embodiment, Hensel Phelps strives to honor our employees when they have reached a 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40-year milestone at the company with a night of celebration. As the pandemic has forced us all to adapt and change how we plan events, Hensel Phelps rose to the occasion to create an elegant, Oscar-inspired virtual video   series, Oldtimers Season 84, in place of our annual banquet night to celebrate these monumental career milestones and officially welcome our new Oldtimers.

The series consisted of three episodes. The premiere celebrated all 40, 35 and 30-year honorees. The second episode celebrated all 20, 15 and 10-year honorees. In the finale, we introduced the five-year inductees. In addition, each episode featured a commercial break that highlighted all safety awards and milestones for the 2020 calendar year. Episodes premiered on Friday the 15th, 22nd and 29th of January at 3:00PM. To maximize the celebration of all inductees and honorees, all Plains and Corporate employees were invited to the watch party events hosted at both offices and on all jobsites.

This year, we welcomed 35 new Oldtimers, honored 14 anniversaries and recognized 54 safety stats, honoring a total of 246 Oldtimers between the Hensel Phelps Corporate and Plains District offices!
