Creative Brief
“Happy to be involved”
“Look at our project”
“Thanks for the mention”
These were our typical social media posts prior to our revamp; they were passive and uninformative because we tried to reach too many audiences; reactive instead of strategic because goals and strategy needed to be defined.
A self-audit and feedback from external audiences during an image and messaging study, revealed that we needed to overhaul our Social Media strategy to be more effective.
First, we defined our target audiences: 1) Design talent 2) The next generation of decision makers rising in their organizations.
Next we wanted to grow our followers by curating content that connects with them, and we determined what content works best for which platform.
Finally, we advanced our posting process to let us pre-plan non-time sensitive content and nimbly address timely items like press mentions.
Since our implementation, results have been impressive. We’ve increased followers on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter; social media is now a major feeder to our website; and our internal process is nearly seamless resulting in the ability to post almost daily.
