GRIT – We Have What it Takes. This single sentence encapsulates how it feels to be an ECS employee. For current ECS employees, inherent in this statement is a sense of pride and accomplishment. For potential recruits, it begs the question, “Do I have what it takes to work at ECS?”
From trekking knee deep through swamplands to rappelling off of buildings, we are problem solvers who approach obstacles with a fearless attitude. Potential employees who are hired by ECS are typically people who exhibit Guts, Resilience, Initiative and Tenacity; or as we say at ECS, GRIT.
This campaign has involved a variety of communications tools totaling over 65 different GRIT branded items, including, but not limited to, print and electronic communications, pull-up banners, postcards, promotional items, recruitment kits and a video.
This recruitment campaign was designed with a two-fold purpose: Employee Recruiting and Employee Retention. We wanted job seekers to understand what type of person was successful in our company, as well as to provide them with information about our company culture. We also wanted a brand that our internal employees could identify with, one that was honest and motivational.
We see GRIT as a winning campaign that illustrates a tremendous marketing achievement. Our company does not have a corporate marketing team; we have regional teams. While many helped, this campaign was executed by a five-person team spanning Florida, North Carolina and Virginia. This campaign is a true representation of what it means to have GRIT.
