Creative Brief
On a mission to engage SME team members as brand ambassadors and get them comfortable using social media, we launched a competitive LinkedIn bingo game throughout the month of June 2018, “Social Media Explorer Bingo!” Printed bingo cards were distributed to all 300+ SME team members in each of our 12 offices. Each bingo card contained LinkedIn activity tasks. Each week we issued a challenge along with an in-house produced LinkedIn video tutorial as a guide. We incorporated different prize levels to encourage participation.
Here’s the impact that the game had on our social media networks and brand visibility:
• 82 posts were made by SME team members (up from 12 in May; 680% increase)
• 586 likes of SME team members posts (up from 305; 190% increase)
• 85 comments by SME team members on LinkedIn posts (up from 22; 390% increase)
• 46 new followers
By leveraging the power of our internal team members as brand ambassadors, we significantly improved visibility and engagement, and we drove traffic to our website.
