Creative Brief
When planning for Robins & Morton's 70th anniversary, the marketing department began brainstorming ideas for something that would educate and inspire employees, friends, clients, business partners about the company's rich history and culture over the past seven decades.
In the last several years, Robins & Morton has grown significantly, with many new employees joining staff members that have been with the company for five, ten, twenty and even thirty years. When you ask anyone from Robins & Morton what makes the company different or special, they always collectively reply "the people," or that Robins & Morton "feels like a family."
The reason Robins & Morton employees feel this way is because of our company culture -- a culture that has contributed to our growth and long term success. We chose to communicate the origin and progression of Robins & Morton's culture through stories about the people and our projects that have helped shape that culture over the past seventy years. The result was a chronological keepsake book filled with personal memories, historical facts and rich photography. Capturing the company's storied past was a wonderful, but tedius, and at times, all-consuming project. From locating old photographs, historical documents, and interviewing former company leadership to designing the pages and editing the copy to accurately reflect the voice of Robins & Morton, it presented a daunting challenge. The marketing department joined efforts with Cayenne Creative to create the books and gift them to each employee before Christmas 2016.
