OZ prides itself on progressive, beautiful designs in the built environment. We wanted our newsletter, the OZ blueprint, to do a similar thing – its aim is to be a beautiful art magazine rather than a company newsletter; to inspire our staff with work they might not be aware of; to strengthen and develop the OZ brand; to offer volunteer opportunities in the community; to further our commitment in the industry to DEI; to showcase firm creativity by featuring staff artwork created outside of the office; to be an inspiring and exciting publication for newly hired staff; and be a link to the office culture that was missing since the pandemic.
The OZ blueprint was previously published from 2016 – 2019. The publication took a hiatus at the end of 2019, and firm news and updates were simply shared through our firms’ intranet. Recognizing the need post- pandemic to reconnect and reengage our employees in an exciting new way, the OZ blueprint was redesigned in June 2022 by the marketing creative manager. Our offices, like many others, were coming out of a work-from-home environment to a hybrid work environment, and the goal of the newsletter resurrection and redesign was to reestablish a sense of work community; highlight the breadth of incredible design work across our ten practice areas that employees might not be aware of in their daily work; to engage and reconnect employees with the office environment; and commit further to the culture and diversity of the firm.
