At a transformational moment in its history, our firm, known today as Bialosky Cleveland, directed and designed powerful head-to-toe rebranding in response to our cyclical strategic planning (action planning) process. Building the Bialosky brand emerged as a mission best suited for our internal “Scribes”, one of many action planning task forces at the firm. This task force included 3 generations of firm voices, and a close colleague to serve as a professional consultant. The cornerstone of the rebranding is the strategic name shift from ‘Bialosky + Partners Architects’ to simply ‘Bialosky Cleveland.’ Although we didn’t intend for a name change when we set out, the name change grew organically out of the logo design process—a road of self-discovery that illuminated the fact that Bialosky was no-longer made up solely of architects, but also interior designers, graphic designers, urban planners and engineers. The new name is inclusive and simplified. Bialosky Cleveland literally declares to the world “who we are” and “where we’re from”.
