LandDesign’s Intranet has far exceeded its expectations. It truly has become a communication tool that connects our employees in a fresh way. Some were skeptical that we would not be able to overcome the lack of activity on the previous Intranet, but with 2-3 daily posts on average, sharing news, project updates, design articles and events, we could not be happier with the engagement we are seeing and the way it’s connecting our employees.
We strongly believe that the level of engagement we are experiencing is a direct result of the overall look, ease of use, and the fact that everyone sees their colleagues and leadership using it. The Intranet has been successful as a resource, as we see people accessing the human resource documents, IT training information and marketing resources that are provided. Posts can also be categorized into key areas of interest, making it easy to search related content at a later date. The Intranet has also been a great tool for new hires, as we introduce them to the firm through a featured post and they can browse the firm directory, which has headshots and profiles of all employees.
Since launch we have been gathering feedback from employees and all has been positive. People love the tool and want it to do even more. We are currently looking in to adding new features that would allow for more personalization, notifications and possibly mobile applications.
