For years Sasaki has held this cherished internship program for future designers, introducing them to the possibilities in shaping our built environment. This submission has a strong emphasis on the introduction of marketing to this long standing and legendary program. For the first time, we were able to show how integrated we as marketers are in the design, business, and culture of our firm. We are inspired by the many candidates who applied because it showed that there is so much to this work to be excited about. We found that many people outside of a marketing major were enthused by the work that we do and interested in learning more about marketing for our industry.
As the largest community of marketing professionals for AEC, SMPS can understand the importance of building awareness around our marketing base, the process for our type of work, and the community we create. Building stronger future AEC marketers means we enable better competition for work, create healthier client relationships, bring stronger brand awareness to the public, and, of course, create more future SMPS members. Like many marketing leaders in our industry, we struggle with finding experienced talent, strong entry level candidates, and retention among top talent. We were proud to not only help with the messaging and visuals of this marketing piece, but to be the recipients of many talented people we will work with this summer.
