The message that we created with “You. Make the Difference.” was two-fold in that first it was a direct message to every employee, client, and community, relaying that their contribution played a large part in Terracon’s success over 50 years.
Second, it was a directive to that audience to go make the difference and participate in bettering your community. We also created secondary messaging that focused on looking forward 50 years with the phrase “we’re just getting started.”
Our holiday/communities video allowed us to show a more personal and thankful side of Terracon; even to the people who know us best – our employees. The video, which was released as part of a holiday card and thank you to our clients, contains footage of our national partner grant organizations and some of the individuals who benefited from the grants provided by the Terracon Foundation. The employees featured are passionate about Terracon and explain what giving back means to us. The employees depict a spirit of joy, love, dedication, and partnership.
Using video allowed us to reach the intended audiences with a strong, emotional, and enduring impact. The feeling of excitement from those who engaged with us in social media can’t be accurately captured in metrics. To hear that people laughed, cried, and overall felt a sense of pride in the company demonstrated our intentions would carry on long after the holidays.
