As an acoustical and low-voltage technology consulting firm, we positioned our holiday video as a means to not only convey our technical passion and talents for music and video, but also to show a personable side to our business. Our goal with the parody video was to appeal to the emotional side of the audience, to elicit joy and humor, as a way to reinforce that we are fun to work with as well as technically skilled.
Our video sought to highlight the individual talents of our employees in the context of our collective work as a unified company. One of our acoustical consultants, an improv comedic actor, came up with the parody concept and wrote the script, after brainstorming song titles with coworkers. To make our video stand out, we did not work in silos of marketing and technical staff, but instead combined our diverse perspectives.
A team effort from beginning to end, our video was produced completely in-house. We maintained the do-it-yourself look for humorous effect, while reinforcing our passion for acoustic and audiovisual applications by showcasing our music and videography skills. With the extensive positive feedback from our clients, we strengthened awareness of our firm and offerings. Several clients not only said our video was the best holiday piece they had ever seen, but several said it made them want to work with us more, such as, “WOW THATS FANTASTIC ... I love it, for sure I want to do more projects with you guys!”
