Many marketers in the A/E/C industry know how stiff an office full of nerdy consultants can be. I joined MB&G a few months before beginning The Leaflet over a year ago, and since, I have noticed a shift towards enthusiastic intergroup communication and knowledge. By producing such a high quality, entertaining and informative internal newsletter, I myself have gained credibility within the firm as a designer, as a trustworthy source for information management and a reputation for completing projects that exceed expectations. As a Marketing Coordinator, as well as the youngest, inexperienced person in a firm of degree-decorated experts, establishing this reputation is instrumental to my success as a services marketer. Soliciting information from PMs for resumes and proposals has been easier as respect for each other as professionals and peers has increased. The increased sense of community and peer knowledge created by the newsletter has garnished pride in each other, ourselves and in our brand. This pride factors into our emlpoyees living out our company values of Client Service, Integrity, Quality and Expertise; all translating in our client relationships new and longterm. I never would have thought that my role here could have an affect on the company culture, nor contribute to our reputation, but however indirectly, it has and I'm so proud!
