The PEC recruiting video should win because we took on the challenge of perception. Engineers suffer from an image problem. We used this video to create a positive impression of our culture for millenials. Our video team spent time interviewing existing staff and interns to understand the perceptions we needed to overcome both as an industry and as a firm. This insight led us to the humorous/faux authoritarian approach, mixed in with a bit of self promotion. We tried very hard to tell a story about PEC that people wouldn't forget. And they haven't. We continually get comments from viewers and our website careers page had a traffic increase of 400%.
Since we have started using the video, PEC has hired more than 30 new employees filling postions in each of our 7 locations, and increase 0f 12%. This increase in staff has allowed PEC to more efficiently meet our clients needs and continue the stellar service we are known for.
