The 2016 Degenkolb holiday piece positions the firm as on-point with trends, and continues a tradition of active engagement. This is not a greeting to be taped to a cubicle, refrigerator or reception desk and discarded in a month. This piece asks you to actively engage with the Degenkolb brand.
Much like our engineering, holiday card production is a team effort at Degenkolb. Led by the six-member marketing/business development team, more than 30 individuals were involved in the process of sending out the annual greeting. All 2500 pieces were hand signed by at least one individual and in more than half the cases by multiple persons from our five different offices.
The marketing team set out to conceptualize a piece that reflected our values and promoted our communities. In choosing the final direction, the CEO was heavily influenced by the research presented on the adult coloring book trend. Data points included top books on sale from Amazon; articles on the number of users; and the science behind the benefits of the activity.
Client feed-back has been enthusiastic.
- “I can put good use to the crayons … at uneventful meetings!”
- “what an inspired holiday gift! It already served as a most calming influence for an invoice review meeting / coloring meeting.”
With more than $1.5 million in project opportunities generated by being top of mind after receiving the piece, this year’s holiday card is one of the most successful pieces the firm has produced.
