- Vector Collaborative is a small woman-owned structural engineering firm, founded by Kari Sebern, P.E., in 2010. It recently grew from a sole proprietorship to a team with two full-time employees and additional contractor help as needed.
- The engineering firm’s former name, Sebern Structural Services, or sometimes called S³ (S-Cubed), was not consistently represented. The many versions of the firm’s brand diluted its impact.
- S-Cubed’s original website was created in-house and did not accurately communicate the refinement that the firm knew it was capable of achieving in its portfolio.
- S-Cubed’s original logo was designed in-house and used drop shadows and other design elements that felt dated.
- Kari, Vector Collaborative’s founder, wanted to elevate her brand to show more capacity and professionalism in order to win larger projects and to be taken more seriously.
- Kari is an engineer who balances the science of engineering with the art of design. This key differentiator was the driving factor behind the rebrand message.
- The new logo is crisp, clean, creative, and compelling.
- The new website, designed in Squarespace, involves animation, movement, and other attractive design elements. It is meant to be regularly updated and dynamic.
- Since the rebrand, Kari says cold calls, emails, and new leads have increased significantly, which she attributes to the new brand and website.
- Revenue in 2020 increased by 23%. Kari states her new projects are with more sophisticated clients with higher budgets, which was precisely her primary marketing and branding goal when we started working together.
