McKim & Creed is an employee-owned firm, fostering an entrepreneurial atmosphere that empowers every employee to reach beyond usual expectations toward incredible achievements. The leaders of the firm are honest and transparent sharing the financial stability and health of the firm with employees annually.

For the past several years, the marketing team has created an annual report which celebrates employees and THEIR accomplishments, as well as communicates operational performance. This report is printed and distributed to all 23 offices for each employee.

This year, the marketing team created a special edition to honor our firm’s 40th anniversary. Through employee feedback, we learned this edition of the annual report successfully honored our history while garnering excitement for our future and fostering a sense of community and pride amongst our employee-owners. Our Charlotte Water Regional Manager, Alexandra Houston said: “This report did a great job documenting and illustrating our company history. What a great job!” James Rudd, our Asheville Regional Manager, said: “There are so many things I like about the annual report. It does a very nice job of highlighting our projects, people and mission. The writing, the paper, the graphics. Also, it does a good job of reaffirming our culture. “

In addition to creating pride amongst our employees, the report was used for recruiting, resulting in 18% growth of new employees. Also, by communicating the financial health of our business, there was a 25% increase in the number of new employees purchasing a grand total of $1,200,000 in stock!
